Founded in Dunedin, New Zealand in 2002, Escea Fireplace Company is locally owned and operated. Our location at the very edge of the world challenges our people to be more creative, and resourceful, to think outside the box – we call it Kiwi ingenuity.
As the most Southern city in New Zealand – also known as one of the chilliest, there is no better place to test the limits of heat and efficiency. From research and development to manufacturing and aftersales support, we believe in making the best fireplaces, here in Dunedin.
Hailing from Spain, the Hergóm range creates a focal point in any room. With it’s award winning design and advanced heat technology, this fire is a winner all round.
For over 50 years, Hergóm has produced efficient, sustainable, and technologically advanced fireplaces and cookers from their state-of-the-art foundry in Santander. Their wood stoves are among the cleanest burning in the world, maximising heat and fuel performance with minimal emissions.
Using the finest cast iron, Hergom ensures durability and resilience. By controlling the entire production process – from design and casting to the finished product – they guarantee exceptional quality, reliability, and performance.
Anyone who chooses a Morsø product benefits from the experience that has matured from over 170 years of production. In 1853 Niels Andreas Christensen founded his iron foundry on the island of Mors and initially manufactured various products – from stable windows to pots and pans. Around the turn of the century, the company focused on hand-crafting wood burning fireplaces, and in 1915 received the title of Royal Purveyor, which Morsø still holds today.
